INTRODUCING THE NEW SOPRA-SPF 200
Now Produced Here in Canada
SOPRA-SPF 200 is a medium-density, two-component, closed-cell, spray-applied polyurethane foam.
The monolithic shape of spray-applied polyurethane makes it possible to fill the spaces to be insulated without creating joints. This prevents any uncontrolled air movement through the assemblies.
Available in two grades, SOPRA-SPF 200 is ideal for your insulation work all year round:
SOPRA-SPF 200: 10 °C to 40 °C (50 °F to 104 °F)
SOPRA-SPF 200 LT: -10 °C to 10 °C (14 °F to 50 °F)
Suitable for Many Application
Why Choose SOPRA-SPF 200
Perfect for uneven surfaces, spray-applied polyurethane foam is versatile and will not degrade or settle over time, thus ensuring consistent performance throughout the life of the building.
High-Quality Insulation
Spray-applied polyurethane must absolutely comply with the CAN/ULC‑S705.1 standard, which ensures that products have been tested and fulfill or exceed requirements. The customer therefore knows they are working with a high‑quality product.
Excellent Dimensional Stability
Dimensional stability is the ability of a product to maintain its shape when exposed to heat or cold. Our SOPRA‑SPF 200 foam offers an excellent dimensional stability, which means that it remains stable during temperature variations.
Local Manufacturing
SOPRA-SPF 200 is manufactured locally by SOPREMA in Drummondville, Québec, which ensures direct proximity to the supplier.
Easy Installation Appreciated by Installers
The installation is simple and requires little handling. It is easy to anticipate the expansion of the foam, so you can adjust the equipment for an easier and more efficient installation.
Did you know that a change in product volume can cause several problematic situations on a construction site? Here are some examples:
-
Delamination of the product from the substrate, creating an air gap between the insulation and the support
-
Shrinkage damaging the membranes under the polyurethane foam
-
Less effective insulation
-
Cracks or other defects
-
Work that has to be redone
An Ecofriendly Choice
At SOPREMA, we innovate with the future in mind. This is why we are constantly improving our formulas to reduce our environmental footprint.
SOPRA-SPF 200 complies with the new standards regarding blowing agents used in insulating materials.
Thanks to its ecological HFO blowing agent, SOPRA-SPF 200 has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 1.
SOPRA-SPF 200 is GREENGUARD Gold certified. This certification includes very strict selection criteria and considers some of the most demanding safety factors in terms of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
Professional Installation Ensured
SOPRA-SPF 200 can only be applied by certified installers, in accordance with the CAN/ULC‑S705.2 application standard. To comply with building code requirements, medium‑density spray-applied polyurethane installers must meet the requirements of CAN/ULC‑S705.2. Moreover, thanks to its SCC accreditation, SOPREMA is able to train many installers each year in the spray-applied polyurethane process.
The accreditation and certification management of SOPRA-SPF 200 installers are handled by a third party, Caliber, a certification body responsible for ensuring the quality of the installation of products, namely sprayed polyurethane.
Caliber is Canada’s largest certification body, contractor association, and third-party quality assurance provider for spray foam. Its quality assurance program provides spray foam chemical manufacturers and suppliers with frameworks that comply with all industry codes and standards. Caliber builds and maintains trust between spray foam chemical manufacturers and building construction stakeholders through an independent framework that is government approved and recognized by the CCMC and building officials across Canada. Caliber is registred with international accreditation services as a personnel certification body (ISO 17024) and an inspection body (ISO 17020).
Moreover, to ensure long-term quality, this certification must be renewed every five years.
