SOPRA-CELLULOSE.

Cellulose Insulation : Thermal & Acoustic Performance

Efficient and environmentally friendly, SOPRA-CELLULOSE reduces energy consumption and improves indoor comfort in a variety of climates.

OVERVIEW OF SOPRA-CELLULOSE

SOPRA-CELLULOSE is a thermal and acoustic insulation made of more than 80% recycled paper and cardboard and 15% flame-retardant minerals. Perfect for both new buildings and renovation projects, it has the appearance of small grey fibres that are smooth to the touch.

SOPRA-CELLULOSE is odourless and acts as a shield that reduces the transmission of heat and sound.

OUR SOPRA-CELLULOSE IS GREENGUARD GOLD CERTIFIED

GREENGUARD Gold certification includes very strict selection criteria and considers the most demanding safety factors for volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. These requirements also include some sensitive groups of people (such as children and the elderly), and they ensure that a product is acceptable in high-risk environments, such as schools and healthcare facilities.

WHAT MAKES SOPRA-CELLULOSE UNIQUE

Thanks to its composition based on recycled fibres and its ecological manufacturing process, SOPRA-CELLULOSE is one of the most environmentally friendly insulation products on the market.

OPTIMAL COMFORT

With an R-value of 3.7 per inch, SOPRA-CELLULOSE offers the highest thermal resistance of all traditional bulk insulation fibres on the market. It penetrates the small interstices of the structure to form a homogeneous cushion without joints, thus limiting air infiltration and thermal bridging.

HIGH SAVINGS

Cellulose is one of the best choices in terms of value for money. Moreover, its high-energy efficiency translates into potential annual savings on heating and cooling costs.

MINIMAL NOISE

Thanks to its high density, SOPRA-CELLULOSE has superior acoustic properties, which promote noise absorption and provide peace and quiet for the occupants. It is the perfect product for residential and condo buildings.

SAFE AND ECO-FRIENDLY

MADE OF RECYCLED FIBRES

Thanks to its composition based on 100% recycled fibres and its ecological manufacturing process, SOPRA-CELLULOSE contributes to the LEED program as well as other green building programs that qualify for tax credits.

WITHOUT DANGER TO HEALTH

SOPRA-CELLULOSE does not contain asbestos, fibreglass or formaldehyde and is GREENGUARD Gold-certified for its low volatile organic compound (VOC) content. It does not irritate the skin and offers superior resistance to corrosion, moisture and mildew.

TESTED AND SAFE

Laboratory tests results of SOPRA-CELLULOSE, manufactured in compliance with the CAN/ULC-S703 standard, report superior flame resistance (CAN/ULC-S102.2). In the event of a fire, the cellulose will delay the spreading of flames in the building, saving the occupants several minutes, which might be essential to exit safely.

PEST-REPELLANT

Its flame-retardant components help prevent the intrusion of insects, vermin and small rodents. It is therefore ideal for farm buildings.
