ACS THERMAL CLIPS form a highly efficient fixation system that reduces the effects of thermal bridging in wall systems. ACS THERMAL CLIPS are a combination of stainless steel—known for its strength, low thermal conductivity and high melting point—and an insulation base with a thermal resistance of R-3 per base.

ACS THERMAL CLIPS are available in two configurations: solid and adjustable. Both clips also include cut-outs that represent 15% to 20% of the clip volume in order to reduce both the quantity of conductive material and thermal bridges in wall systems.

SOLID

ACS S-Clips

ACS-S CLIPS are similar in shape to Z‑girts and come in different sizes to accommodate the thickness of the insulation. They are ideal when a high-performance, cost-effective solution is required, and the back-up structure and cladding materials do not require on-site adjustment of the fixation system.

ADJUSTABLE

ACS A-Clips

ACS-A CLIPS are a two-piece design. The inner piece fits inside the outer piece, which allows installers to adjust the exact depth of the clips on site. ACS-A CLIPS are very useful for cladding systems that require very tight tolerances on irregular substrates and are installed on steel framed walls that are not on the same vertical plane as the slab beams.

Various fixation systems made of different materials are available on the market. Some materials are more conductive than others. When selecting a fixation system, it is important to consider its manufacturing material and not only the type of fixation system itself.

ACS THERMAL CLIPS have successfully passed several fire-resistance tests of the entire wall assembly according to the CAN/ULC-S134 standard.

SUPERIOR THERMAL PERFORMANCE

ACS THERMAL CLIPS effectively reduce the effect of thermal bridging in the exterior wall assembly. In some cases, they allow the use of less insulation, thus reducing the total thickness of the assembly and the costs associated with the materials used in its construction.

GREATER STRUCTURAL CAPACITY

Stainless steel offers more rigidity than other materials such as aluminum and FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic). This optimizes the spacing between clips, thus reducing the number required to support the exterior cladding as well as the costs related to materials and installation.

QUICK AND EASY INSTALLATION

ACS THERMAL CLIPS are compatible with all types of insulation, including rigid panels, and do not require any proprietary channel, girt or rail system. Rails can be installed horizontally or vertically from the outside of the clips, reducing the amount of steel needed to attach the exterior cladding.
