Blind Side Waterproofing

SOPRALÈNE BSWThe COLPHENE BSW waterproofing membrane is ideal for making Berlin walls watertight. The initials BSW refer to blind side waterproofing, meaning that after application, the membrane is hidden between two concrete structures. This type of waterproofing is often used in urban areas, in underground parking garages and involves installing a self-adhesive watertight membrane on the existing wall of a neighbouring building before pouring concrete for the new foundation.

COLPHENE BSW protects the infrastructure against possible water infiltration between the concrete walls of the two buildings. While the concrete is setting, the sanded surface of the COLPHENE BSW membrane grips onto and welds with the foundation, preventing any leakage.
